Global demand for plastic resins is expected to increase in the period 2023-2025, opening up opportunities for businesses producing and exporting Vietnamese plastic resins. As one of the leading suppliers of plastic resins, An Thanh Bicsol has taken advantage to promote growth.

ICIS forecasts show that global plastic resin demand is expected to increase by about 4.4%/year in the period 2023-2025. According to ICIS forecasts, global demand for plastic resins is increasing

Growth momentum continues in the following years with 2021 growing at more than 46% and 2023 growing at 84.2%. An Thanh Bicsol aims to reach 100,000 tons/month by 2030, corresponding to a 50-fold increase compared to the company’s founding date.

On January 19, 2024, An Phat Holdings had a closing ceremony to wrap up the year 2023 and kick off their 2024 plan. The ceremony was attended by Group Chairman Pham Anh Duong, representatives of the Board of Directors, senior managers of subsidiaries, and employees of the Group.

The year 2023 has brought about numerous challenges and changes for businesses, and An Phat Holdings is no exception. At the ceremony, CEO Pham Do Huy Cuong summarized the business situation in 2023 and presented the orientation and plans for 2024. 61,000 kilometers, 1,500 runners attending the race to celebrate An Phat Holdings’ 21st anniversary

On September 24, 2023, at An Phat 1 Industrial Park (Hai Duong), an offline race officially took place, ending a series of running events both online and offline on the occasion of the anniversary of 21 years of establishment of An Phat Holdings. With the theme “Accelerated – Breakthrough – Master the future”, the 21-year race of An Phat Holdings gathered more than 1,500 runners throughout the Group. 

Specifically, with the online format, the 21-day online race recorded the participation of more than 1,000 employees in Vietnam and other countries. The participation of each employee also contributes 100,000 VND/runner to the An Phat fund (minimum 5 km/21 days) to help employees in need. Meanwhile, the offline race took place at An Phat 1 Industrial Park (Hai Duong) have the participation of more than 500 runners, competing at distances of 5, 10, and 15 kilometers. 

61,000 kilometers run, more than 1,500 runners, these are the achievements recorded in the An Phat Holdings’ 21-year race.

Towards the 21st anniversary of establishment (September 27, 2002-September 27, 2023), on the morning of August 30, in Hanoi, An Phat Holdings officially launched “An Phat Holdings Race: Accelerate – Breakthrough – Master the future”, spreading the message of health and healthy life style, bringing values to the community.

On July 13, An Phat Holdings successfully held half-year review ceremony to summarize business activities in the first 6 months of the year and implement tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Though being affected by the global economic picture, according to representatives of the Group’s segment, in the first half of 2023, production and business activities have gradually recovered, significantly improved compared to 2022. 

Based on the positive results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, the Group’s leadership has set production and business plans and targets in the third quarter, specifically: Maintaining positive growth at member companies, developing new products, new customers and expanding export markets, developing new industrial real estate projects, implementing digital transformation in production and business activities, improving the quality of human resources. 

Entering the second half of 2023, representatives of member companies are confident to soon fulfill the target that has been set at the General Shareholders’ Meeting.

The U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam: “We highly appreciate An Phat Holdings’ investment into the U.S. market and green growth strategy”

On January 31, in Hai Duong Province, U.S. Ambassador Marc Knapper and the high-ranking diplomatic delegation of the U.S. Embassy visited An Phat Holdings at the headquarters of An Phat Bioplastics JSC – a subsidiary of An Phat Holdings (APH) and the leading corporation in Southeast Asia in the field of manufacturing and exporting high quality monolayer film.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the U.S. Embassy, ​​there were Mr. Marc Knapper –U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam and the high-ranking delegation from the U.S. Embassy. On the side of An Phat Holdings, ​​there were CEO Pham Do Huy Cuong and other senior managers. 

At the meeting, CEO Pham Do Huy Cuong warmly welcomed the Ambassador and the delegation visiting APH on the occasion of Lunar New Year. Highlighting the Group’s sustainable development mission, CEO Pham Do Huy Cuong said that, since 2015, An Phat Holdings has poured investment into R&D to develop a wide range of compostable products under the brand name of AnEco. These products are fully biodegradable and eco-friendly. Currently, AnEco products have undergone rigorous testing on biodegradability to meet world leading’s certification, including BPI certificate (U.S.A.). 

After more than 20 years of development, APH has built a broad ecosystem with a scale of more than 5,000 employees and 17 member companies spread across Vietnam and many countries around the world including the United States, Singapore, South Korea. Presently, An Phat Holdings is also a reliable partner of large domestic and foreign enterprises. An Phat Holdings long-term partners come from global countries, including the United States. “The United States is determined as our key market. The two-way trade turnover of APH and the U.S. market has increased steadily around 100 million USD in 2021 and 2022 despite the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic” CEO Pham Do Huy Cuong stated.

In addition, An Phat Holdings’ compostable materials were officially distributed throughout North America in 2022 also marks an important step in the Group’s 10-year business journey in the United States. CEO Pham Do Duy Cuong expected that APH’s business activities in the U.S. market will thrive in the upcoming period.

The U.S. Ambassador was also impressed with the AnEco compostable products. He also praised An Phat Holdings for becoming the trailblazer in Vietnam in developing and manufacturing “green” materials and products.

With the strategic AnEco products, An Phat Holdings will certainly make a great contribution to the “Net Zero Emission” goal by 2050, thereby contributing to reducing reliance on fossil fuels in Vietnam. Therefore, Mr. Knapper stated that the sustainable development strategies of An Phat Holdings is the right move, in line with the global sustainability trend.

An Phat Holdings appoints new CEO

An Phat Holdings Joint Stock Company (APH) has just given an official announcement on the change of senior position.

Specifically, the BOD of An Phat Holdings officially announced the decision to dismiss Mr. Dinh Xuan Cuong from the CEO of An Phat Holdings from January 27, 2023 based on the resignation letter of Mr. Dinh Xuan Cuong earlier. At the same time, the BOD of An Phat Holdings decided to appoint Mr. Pham Do Huy Cuong to assume the position of CEO from January 27, 2023.

Mr. Pham Do Huy Cuong has 17 years of working experience in the financial field at large domestic and foreign corporations. Before being appointed to the position of CEO of APH, Mr. Pham Do Huy Cuong was a member of the BOD, Standing Deputy CEO, CFO of An Phat Holdings since 2019. 

Chairman Pham Anh Duong believed that, with extensive experience in finance and administration, the new CEO of APH will lead the Group to fulfill its strategic goals, thereby bringing the best benefits for customers and shareholders. 

After taking on the new position, Mr. Pham Do Huy Cuong emphasized that he will do his best to bring An Phat Holdings to stronger development, “firmly affirm its position as a high-tech plastic corporation and environmentally friendly products in Southeast Asia”, while bringing APH’s “green” products to global customers.

In 2022, despite the difficulties in domestic and global economic situation, the industry group including: Packaging; Engineering plastics and Building material plastics; Raw materials and Chemicals for plastic industry; Industrial Real Estate still recorded quite positive results. This is considered as the premise for these industries to accelerate development in 2023.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Pham Anh Duong acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements attaining in 2022. He affirmed that 2022 was a year full of changes and obstacles for businesses around the world. An Phat Holdings is unexceptional. However, with consistent efforts, most of the Group’s business segments have achieved or even exceeded the set plan. This proves that An Phat Holdings has strong resistance to the complicated and unpredictable impacts of the global economy. The Chairman affirmed that this achievement will be a solid steppingstone for An Phat Holdings to thrive in the future.

Entering the new year, Chairman Pham Anh Duong called on all employees of the Group to strive to accomplish the set goals for the next year. 2023 is determined to be another difficult year due to the global impacts. Hence, the Chairman reminded the whole Group to always be ready and flexibly respond to challenges as well as seize the opportunity.

Acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of subsidiaries in 2022, at the ceremony, representatives of the Group’s B.O.D awarded prizes to 4 company members that have successfully accomplished the 2022 plan, including An Phat Bioplastics JSC, Hanoi Plastics JSC, An Cuong Hi-tech Building Materials JSC and An Trung Industries Co., Ltd.

The year-end ceremony was also a meaningful occasion to honor An Phat People who dedicatedly contributed to the development of An Phat Holdings over the years. At the event, the B.O.D of An Phat Holdings awarded the An Phat Gold Badge to individuals who have the dedication to work for 10 years. Especially, individuals who have contributed innovative ideas to APH’s production and business activities are also honored in this ceremony.

2022 also marks the important milestones of An Phat Holdings in the journey of growing and contributing to the country’s socio-economic development. The Group’s subsidiaries namely An Phat Bioplastics Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Plastics JSC, An Tien Industries Joint Stock Company honorably received the Second-class Labor Medal and the Third-class Labor Medal awarded by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, along with prestigious awards such as Vietnam Gold Star Award, Vietnam’s Top 100 Brands, Top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam 2022, Top 50 largest private enterprises in Vietnam in 2022, Export enterprises prestige, Vietnam National Brand 2022, etc.
